Aarik Danielsen

Aarik Danielsen is a first year Master's student in Journalism with an emphasis in magazine writing. An Arizona native, Aarik holds bachelor's degrees in church music and music business from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo. Since receiving several awards for his work as an editor/columnist at SBU's student newspaper, The Omnibus, Aarik has enjoyed a variety of experiences in the field of journalism. In Fall 2007, he worked as a religion beat reporter for the Columbia Missourian and helped create the paper's first faith blog. He has also freelanced for a number of music publications including PopMatters and Seven Ball. He lives in Columbia with his wife Brooke, who is Director of Bands for the Westran school district in Huntsville, Mo.
